Reprogramming for 1.4/1.6 engines to lower operating temperature

Opel 1.4 and 1.6 engines, both naturally aspirated and turbocharged, operate at excessively high temperatures (minimum 105°C) from the factory . This high operating temperature improves engine efficiency for anti-pollution regulations, but has detrimental effects over time, such as:

• Frequent breakages in the cooling system (pipes, water pumps, expansion tank, thermostat, water outlet box, etc.)
• Possible mechanical failures in the cylinder head, resulting from breakage of the previous components

At Blitz Motorworks, we offer an engine control unit remap that affects only the electronic thermostat , reducing the operating temperature to a constant 92-95°C . This modification is designed exclusively to preserve the engine and prevent heat-related breakdowns.

• It is carried out using original software , without external alterations or risks to the control unit.
• It does not modify any other vehicle parameters : power, emissions and consumption remain intact.
• Also available remotely , without the need to travel.
• If your engine already has a reprogramming or stage, it's not a problem. We can add this feature to your current programming. Don't forget to indicate this in the options, and keep in mind that we'll need your engine control unit or the vehicle physically in our workshop.
